The SPHOA pool is open at 50% capacity. The SPHOA clubhouse will continue to remain closed.
The following guidelines will be in effect to ensure a safe and manageable start to the pool season:
At a glance
- Gated pool area will be limited to 24 persons.
- Patrons should bring hand sanitizer and practice good hygiene (per CDC guidelines).
- Effective Wednesday, June 10, pool hours are 9am – 9pm.
- First come, first serve.
- Limit of 1 hour per family per day. No non-resident guests.
- If you are sick in any way, DO NOT come to the pool.
Limiting the number of swimmers (max: 48)
The maximum capacity of the pool is 96 persons. The 50% limit imposed by the Governor allows only 48 persons in the pool at any one time. The gated pool area will be restricted to 48 persons — whether or not everyone in each group swims.
The pool will operate on a first come, first serve basis. However, we ask that each family who comes to the pool is respectful of others wishing to use the pool. We reserve the right to limit or restrict pool access to persons who are monopolizing the pool.
Practice good hygiene.
Each family is strongly encouraged to bring hand sanitizer when visiting the SPHOA pool area. Hand sanitizer should be used as follows:
- upon entering and leaving the pool area,
- using the bathrooms, and
- when interacting with communal objects such as pool furniture, door handles, and picnic tables.
While in the pool area, please maintain social distancing. Respect the space of other swimmers in the pool.
If you or anyone in your group is sick, has been sick, or showing any symptoms of being sick, DO NOT visit the pool area as directed by CDC or your doctor.
Modified pool hours
Effective Wednesday, June 10, the pool will be open from 9am to 9pm daily. Access to the pool area will be controlled by the pool monitor so that the SPHOA can comply with the orders from the Governor. Once the restrictions on the number of persons are loosened by the Governor, the pool will begin to adjust to normal operating hours.
Time limits and guests
Each family will be allowed one hour of swim time per day. Pool keys, number of guests, and entry/exit times will be logged. No guests who live outside of the residence will be allowed for the time being. A photo id with an address in the HOA will be required. The SPHOA board anticipates high demand for the pool and this rule is to ensure fairness and equal access by homeowners.
Safety of pool attendants
The safety of pool attendants is a major concern for the HOA. As an employee of the HOA, each pool attendant must be provided with special provisions and care to ensure his/her safety. The guidelines are extensive and can be found at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/organizations/businesses-employers.html
Clubhouse Rentals
Until further notice, the clubhouse shall not be rented or reserved. The SPHOA board does not have the means to monitor and enforce social distancing guidelines in this facility.
